I would like to remind you of the arrangements for notifying parents/carers of any school closures or delayed starts to the day.

Our priority is always to open the school as soon as possible. If road conditions make a normal start unlikely, we will delay opening until conditions improve. Notification of school closures or delayed starts will be through email to students, text to parents/carers and through the local media. Details will also be put on the academy website as soon as possible.

Kirklees Council’s website also lists any changes to school openings – www.kirklees.gov.uk.

In addition to these websites, we will attempt to ensure any announcement is posted to our Twitter feeds and our Instagram page.
